Four City Council Seats
Ward 3, Ward 4, Ward 5, and Ward 6

Four years, however there are no limits to how long someone can hold a council position if they are re-elected.
-
City Councilors are municipal representatives of their wards who have the power to amend the city’s code via ordinances, passing resolutions, and placing levies and charter changes to the ballot.
Councilors appoint members of the city board, committees, commissions, and approve the city’s budget.
Local government representatives such as a councilor are also able to lobby at other levels of government just like regular citizens however representatives have more influence.
For examples of duties, a councilor can vote on funding, land annexations, or support cultural and recreational services.

Great question!
The biggest expenses go to paying a union printshop to develop the literature required to do door knocking and the yard signs that help spread the word, then paying my campaign manager who works 24/7 tirelessly.
Of course, there’s the little things such as miscellaneous office supplies, ActBlue Fees, P.O. Box and stamps.
Much of the work you see surrounding the campaign is actually contributed by volunteers.
You can also find campaign expenses and contributions on ORESTAR.
