Athena will be focused on three things: Safety, Affordability, and Inclusivity.

Safety:

• Fully fund public safety programs such as CAHOOTS (Crisis Assistance Helping Out On The Streets) to ensure that members of our community have accessible care in case of a crisis.

• Fund our public services such as our libraries, parks, and recreational facilities.

• Increase the amount of protected bike lanes and sidewalks so all Eugenians can be safe when travelling.

Affordability:

• Support new housing in Eugene, especially low- and middle-income housing.

• Expand Bus Rapid Transit service to increase accessibility and usability.

Inclusivity:

• Enforce our sanctuary state laws and limit cooperation with ICE to protect our immigrant communities.

• Prevent Eugene from working with companies like Avelo that have facilitated deportations.

• Support efforts to create a more welcoming community for people of color, such as acknowledging racially targeted hate crimes.

• Protect and advocate for the rights of our LGBTQ+ community members.
